The LWB programme is an all-inclusive approach to developing and widening the curriculum offering experiences to all students of SRS outside the normal classroom environment. We believe participating in the LWB programme will promote student confidence, develop their social skills and encourage lifelong learning. Research has shown that ‘busy ‘ or ‘ active’ children achieve as well if not better than those solely focused on academic pursuits.
Our LWB programme includes a wide range of extra-curricular clubs in both Primary and Secondary which include after school clubs, an extensive sports programme, trips and activity days, a number of overseas trips, opportunities to volunteer for charitable projects, opportunities to help the environment and over 70 camping activities annually.
Participation in all activities, on and off site, will enable students to gain points towards the SRS Award. This prestigious award has three levels of achievement: Bronze, Silver and Gold. The point system is categorised into three areas of creativity, action and service.
The after School Activities are due to start on Sunday 23rd September 2018 and will continue until Wednesday 21st November 2018.
Activities are scheduled to meet the working days as per our school calendar divided from Sunday to Wednesday as per the following:
- Sunday 9 lessons
