Digital Learning at SRS

At SRS, we want our pupils to be informed, responsible and active participants in a connected, information-orientated society. We recognise the need to integrate and balance teaching, content and technology to optimise learning in the 21st century. Technology has become a fundamental part of our education, not only allowing us to deliver great teaching and learning but as a platform for collaboration and productivity.

We believe that 1-to-1 devices are powerful tools that augment and transform the learning experience. At SRS, they are used in balance with other teaching methodologies and woven into lessons in a planned and meaningful way to support the learning outcomes.

SRS has established a best practice programme to integrate the use of iPads by all students alongside traditional teaching methods. Since the full roll-out of the programme in September 2018, pupils have used iPads in a range of innovative ways, including creating their own content to demonstrate new learning and receiving instructive and interactive marking and feedback on homework via their iPads.
